At Hudson ABA, we believe every child deserves to be understood, respected, and supported in ways that are meaningful to them.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is more than behavior change. It is about helping children build the skills that allow them to communicate, connect, learn, and navigate the world with greater independence and confidence.
Our philosophy is grounded in four principles:
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We believe in understanding the “why” behind behavior, teaching functional skills, and partnering closely with families to create lasting change.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach focused on improving socially significant behaviors and teaching meaningful life skills.
ABA helps children:
At its core, ABA is about understanding behavior — what causes it, what maintains it, and how to teach alternative skills that make life easier and more successful for the child.
Our approach emphasizes skill-building, not simply behavior reduction. We focus on increasing a child’s ability to function confidently across home, school, and community settings — while also helping them learn to advocate for themselves in age-appropriate and meaningful ways.
We prioritize your child’s comfort and engagement in therapy.
Whenever possible, we seek assent — ensuring children feel safe and willing to participate. Therapy should never feel forced or distressing. We use positive reinforcement, relationship-building, and collaborative strategies to foster motivation and trust.
Our goal is not to make children appear “typical.” It is to help them build meaningful skills that improve quality of life while honoring their individuality.
ABA is rooted in science. Every goal is measurable, and progress is tracked consistently.
Your child’s program is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who:
Therapy sessions are delivered by trained Behavior Technicians or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), who receive ongoing supervision and professional development.
In addition to required certification standards, our team receives continued training in areas such as:
Progress is reviewed frequently to ensure therapy remains effective, ethical, and responsive to your child’s growth.
Progress is reviewed frequently to ensure therapy remains effective, ethical, and responsive to your child’s growth.
We meet with you to understand your concerns, priorities, and long-term goals.
A BCBA conducts formal and informal assessments to identify strengths, skill deficits, and behavioral functions.
A detailed plan is developed outlining goals, recommended service hours, and teaching strategies.
We collaborate closely with parents to tailor the plan to the unique needs, values, and routines of your family.
Sessions may occur in the clinic, home, school, or community, depending on your child’s needs. Skill-building is systematic, engaging, and reinforcement-based.
Data is collected daily. Goals are updated regularly based on measurable progress.
Formal reassessments are conducted every six months to evaluate growth, adjust goals, and ensure continued alignment with developmental needs.
Families receive consistent communication and updates throughout the process.
Families are essential partners in the therapeutic process.
We provide family training and coaching to help you:
We offer regular meetings — including weekly check-ins when appropriate — to review progress, answer questions, and refine strategies.
When interventions are reinforced across settings, progress is faster, more meaningful, and more sustainable.
Our goal is to empower families with practical, lasting tools — not simply deliver services in isolation.
ABA is measurable by design.
We track:
Data is reviewed regularly by the supervising BCBA to determine:
Parents can access session notes at any time through the CentralReach platform, ensuring full transparency and open communication.
We believe transparency builds trust — and trust strengthens outcomes.
ABA services may be provided in:
Our clinic environments are designed to be structured, supportive, and engaging — creating opportunities for individualized learning and embedded social skill development.
Our goal is to teach skills where they are most meaningful and functional.
We are committed to:
We believe in fostering not only individual growth, but also a broader culture of understanding and support for neurodiverse individuals and their families.
Above all, we are committed to helping children build the skills that allow them to participate more fully and confidently in their lives.
Every child is an individual who deserves to be respected and heard
Mental and emotional health matter, just like physical health
Nobody should be stigmatized or shamed for receiving therapy
Developing the tools and skills to communicate productively is key
Breakthroughs, learning, and healing can happen via play and laughter
When a child does better, often the whole family does better too

We came from a different therapist, mainly because we didn’t see any improvement, and in our first conversation with Mike, we immediately knew we would be staying with this practice. In his initial evaluation, he was able to tell a lot about my children - things we had been struggling to find reasons for, for a long time. Mike was able to pinpoint the reasons why in a matter of five minutes. He is very knowledgeable, and my children respect him and are improving. I see better body awareness and overall calmer attitudes. I would definitely recommend coming to Hudson Kids Therapy for a comprehensive form of therapy. Mike and his staff want to see improvement in the whole child, and are using real OT/Speech techniques, not the so-called “strategies” typically used these days. The office is always clean, and everyone is very welcoming and hospitable. They are patient, understanding, and really work with the families for the betterment of the child. You won’t regret coming here!Posted on Claritza DavisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My second home. Here I feel that my son is in very good hands. In occupational therapy with Mike and Cristal, and in speech therapy with Cristian, thanks to God and to them, my son has made great progress. They are always very kind and respectful. I highly recommend this place. It's a 10/10.Posted on Maryna MiuTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mayk and the team are personable and knowledgeable. Mayk finds the way how to engage a kid into activity even if the child is shy or doesn’t want to cooperate at the beginning. My son can’t wait to see Mayk and work with him! I have only great things to say and would recommend the group wholeheartedly to every mum!Posted on Neepa KandelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on chantel freemanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In July, my son was diagnosed with Level 1 autism. He is verbal but struggled with scripting, focus, and social interactions. During my search for therapy, I found Dr. Mike. He spent almost an hour on the phone explaining his experience and passion for OT — I knew right away we were in good hands. At our first visit, we met Mr. Chris, who immediately began a speech session and connected with my son so well. After two months, the progress is undeniable — my son is more focused, engaged, and communicating in full sentences. We are having real conversations now. I am incredibly thankful for Hudson Kids Therapy and the care my son receives from Dr. Mike and Mr. Chris.Posted on Michele ThomasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a mom who spent two months searching for a Spanish-speaking therapist, I can say the wait was worth it. From the first call, Mark (the owner) was kind, took the time to listen to my concerns and worked closely with me to ensure my son could begin therapy without delay. The space is perfectly suited for children. From day one, everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and kind. My son’s therapist, Christian, is amazing—he really connects with kids and knows what he’s doing. This place truly cares about what the work they do for children.Posted on VANESSA REYESTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our first visit to Hudson Kids Therapy ! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and understood. The space was bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed for children of all needs — especially those on the spectrum.u What truly stood out was Myak, the therapy manager. His knowledge, compassion, and calm approach with children on the spectrum were incredible. He took the time to really get to know my child. You could immediately tell he genuinely cares and has deep experience working with neurodiverse children. The occupational and speech ABA therapy teams were equally impressive — patient, engaging, and clearly passionate about helping each child reach their potential. For the first time in a long time, I felt hope and trust that we were in the right hands. Highly recommend this place to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and expert-led environment for their child’s therapy journey.
